At Blackmoor we take customer safety very seriously, and as such we operate an age verification process on all orders of bladed products including knives and knife sets.  The legal age for purchasing a bladed product in the UK is 18+.

To complete the age verification on orders of kitchen knives and knife sets, we use a specialist system provided by www.agechecked.com to verify that the customer buying the item is over the age of 18.  This is an automatic background check, and you will not need to provide any further information or documentation to complete your order.

Once the age verification is confirmed, we will process your order as normal.  If there are any issues relating to the age verification process, a member of our customer service team will be in touch with you to discuss.

On delivery, our carrier will also need to complete visual age confirmation of the person they are delivering the item to, under the “challenge 25” policy.  This is to ensure that the bladed items do not get handed to a child under the age of 18.
